Pele has hailed the legacy of fellow legend Johan Cruyff.
Tributes have poured in for Cruyff, who died on Thursday at the age of 68 after losing his battle with lung cancer.
Cruyff achieved greatness as a player with Holland, Ajax Amsterdam and Barcelona, while he also coached Barca to four straight Liga titles and a maiden European Cup triumph.
“Johan Cruyff was a great player and coach,” Pele said via his official Twitter account.
“He leaves a very important legacy for our family of football.
“We have lost a great man. May we carry on his example of excellence,” added the Brazilian icon, who is regarded by many as the finest footballer in history.
