The UK Police have issued a statement over the video that went viral of
an officer hitting a Nigerian man with baton at St Pancras Station. A
spokesman for British transport police said:
We have been made aware of a video on Facebook showing BTP officers
detaining a man at St Pancras station on Tuesday, March 8. Officers
attended the station following reports from staff of fare evasion, and a
man, aged 40 and from Thamesmead, London was subsequently arrested on
suspicion of fare evasion and two counts of assault occasioning actual
bodily harm (ABH).
